Play Time

All resources in the play room are accessible to all the children. They are changed termly to suit the needs of the curriculum and children's changing needs/interests.
As an Ofsted Registered Childminder and Early Years Teacher, I follow the Early Years curriculum set out by the DFE and Development Matters. My "thorough knowledge for the EYFS" was noted during my recent Ofsted visit.
Our curriculum will be shared with you termly and is based around individual interests and/or special events happening, for example upcoming celebrations/ festivals/ new additions to families. Each term's curriculum is flexible and dependent on the needs of the children. When nearing the transitional time where children are becoming school ready we will be exploring activities such as dressing up and role playing; working closely with the child's chosen school to make the transition as seamless as possible.
Outdoor Play
Children will have access to the garden at all times to practice their gross motor skills and explore in a natural environment. The garden is securely fenced/gated with wheeled toys, large construction and a mud kitchen to name a few. Our resident rabbit Henry lives here too- children are encouraged to touch/handle Henry with care under adult supervision only.
