Play Room
Ewe and Me Childcare has a dedicated play room with areas of continuous provision set up which follows our half termly curriculum however is often adapted to meet the needs and interests of the children. During the recent Ofsted visit it was noted by the inspector that the environments were "going above and beyond what is expected".
There is a front room known as the circle time room where we sit together for small focused group activities such as songs and rhymes, phonics, story time and yoga.
There is a dining room where children have their own size appropriate furniture and we enjoy quiet time activities such as stories and a dedicated "nap zone" for children that still require restful periods.
We have a large enclosed garden with artificial grass and a decked area which benefits from views of Elton Reservoir where children can learn and explore using their gross motor skills. Also within the garden is our very own resident bunny Henry who lives in an enclosed rabbit hutch but often enjoys the freedom of the back garden to roam and explore. All of the animals in my home are included in my extensive risk assessments and have a huge benefit to children's emotional and self regulation development in enabling them to practice safe, caring and respectful relationships and boundaries with themselves, their peers and the animals within their environment.
